Where It All Began

Knox Road facility

March 2002

The Knox Road residence in Ridgecrest, NC was the first housing unit available to associates of the Recovery Ventures Program. It now provides transitional and graduate housing for men.

Old Fort, NC

Old Fort facility

March 2004

Completely renovated by program associates and updated with state of the art safety and fire suppression systems, the 62 bed men’s facility was licensed as a Therapeutic Community facility in January 2007.

Stonewall Avenue

Stonewall Avenue facility

June 2005 - Our First Residence for Women

This location provides 12 beds for women in a established, family community within a block of a county library and park. Extensive remodeling has been completed and we are now attempting to raise funds to install a whole house fire suppression system. Upon installation, this residence will qualify for licensure as a Therapeutic Community facility.

Strickland Terrace

Strickland Terrace facility

August 2006

A desperate need for long term treatment for women dictated the expansion of our women's residences. We were fortunate to locate our Terrace residence in the same community as Stonewall. This duplex provides 24 beds for women and is within one mile of our Swannanoa office and the Stonewall residence.
