Family Education Program

Our family education program is a new therapeutic component offered at RVC. The program consists of two fun, interactive and education-filled sessions designed to both educate associates and family members about addiction and help encourage conversations geared towards mending relationships. The program is facilitated by clinical staff with assistance from senior associate leaders. Family members are encouraged to express to their loved one how addiction has affected the family. This program is often the place where associates hear with a clear mind the true impact of their addiction.

Both sessions will include a one hour psycho-education group, a family process group (facilitated discussion group), a catered lunch, and one hour of family bonding time. The rebuilding of our family relationships is one of the most important goals we are striving to obtain, particularly those between parents and children. Participation in all program sessions is not required but strongly encouraged!
