Program Overview

Recovery Ventures is a 18 month long-term therapeutic community for the chemically dependent followed by a required 6 month less restrictive environment; for men and women age 18 and older.

Components

Therapeutic: All associates participate in the available clinical opportunities – the structured environment and daily life skills and vocational training, seminars, groups and peer counseling.
Interdependent Responsibility: All associates participate in both in-house and outside job placements after a period of initial adjustment to the program; associates learn to be responsible in a number of areas that lead to manageability of their own lives.
Education: Associates must be working toward individualized, mutually agreed upon educational goals.
Spirituality: All associates develop spiritual connections with each other and/or their Higher Power.
Aftercare: Required; a continuum of care is provided; in some cases associates step-down to transitional housing before graduation; participants must serve as mentors to younger residents during this time.

Privacy

Strict federal law protects all information concerning our associates. Unless an associate signs a release giving Recovery Ventures permission to do so, we do not acknowledge a person's presence or participation in our program. All associates must agree to follow Recovery Ventures guidelines concerning privacy, their own privacy as well as the privacy of fellow associates.

Exclusionary Criteria

No persons convicted or currently facing charges of arson or sexual offenses; no persons with a long history of violence, and no persons diagnosed as having a psychotic disorder will be accepted into the program - NO EXCEPTIONS.
